Unique Stonework

Working in Stone Art, I am passionate about natural stone, and the traditional craft of Dry Stone construction.

With almost 20 years experience working in the industry I have developed a reputation of producing beautifully designed and built stone features and gardens that display the superior beauty of using natural materials.  Clients often comment on the dedication to quality and precision as well as the beautiful creative design. I achieve this by combining my BA degree in Fine Art and Sculpture with my talent for producing high quality stonework.

Stone Art provides a wide range of services and features for both your home and garden. Whether you are looking to have a garden makeover or a stone feature in your home or garden I can create features to suit all your stone and garden needs.

Below are some samples of my work along with some information and some of the services I provide.

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skilful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Choosing The Right Stone For Your Project

An important factor to consider when incorporating stone in your property is the type of stone to use.

Stone Art would always recommend using what is native to your area, as using a stone which is 'local' or 'native' to your area will help to give the appearance that your building or wall belongs in the landscape.

Stone Art can help you make an informed decision on the choice of stone to use for your building project. Be it a simple garden wall, an elaborate entrance or the stone finish to a home, the choice of stone used will have the greatest impact on the aesthetic success of your project.

The map across is the result of a Bedrock survey of the island of Ireland. From it we can see that there are a large number of stone varieties in the country.
